The first 1.5 hours will be dedicated to a restorative and gentle yin practice with sound healing and the last half an hour will be completely dedicated to a Gong Sound Bath meditation.
We will be offering a nourishing and releasing practice with gentle yin postures mixed with some restorative poses together with healing sounds of the gong to rejuvenate, relax, refresh and restore you.
Gongs can help in resolving emotional and physical dissonance. Magic happens when there is no separation between the gong, the player and the listener. Playing and listening to gongs is about spiritual, physical and emotional resolution – opening of doors and windows to the Universe, moving around energies, Universal energies – to enter a spiritual dimension. The Gong is a psycho-acoustic gateway to heightened states of awareness and consciousness. It is an ideal tool for stress reduction, stimulation of the glandular system, and to break up emotional blockages.
Gently opening into our mindful restorative and yin yoga practice by focusing our attention inward, using our breath as our anchor. A mindful, permissive, nourishing, yielding practice, whilst working on the deeper tissues, welcoming awareness of the subtler sensations.
Cultivating harmony and peace, a deeper sense of balance and feelings of calmness and a sense of well-being. Also working to stimulate and unblock energy channels to offer a deep release and sense of letting go.
This restorative and gentle yin yoga gong bath workshop will offer a slow-paced, meditative style of yoga with postures held for 3 to 5 minutes.
The Gong, when skill-fully played, gongs stimulate and resonate all cells in the human body simultaneously and recalibrate the parasympathetic nervous system (heavy arms and legs as well as a regulated heart rate during a gong meditation are a sign of the re-calibration).
